Education

For more than two decades, the United Way Kids’ Way program has taught young El Pasoans the value of philanthropy. As a valued partner, Region 19 Head Start teachers, students and parents host a variety of fundraisers to contribute to the Kids’ Way Fund. Grants provided to local nonprofits from this Fund directly support children and youth programs in El Paso.

Basic Needs

A partnership between United Way, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), and The El Paso Times, the Senior Fund supports local senior citizens in need. Donations made to the Senior Fund help cover the costs of items not covered by the AAA or other social services such as hearing aids, bathroom installations, and toiletries for senior citizens throughout the community. As part of Senior Fund efforts, our United Way supports local seniors through the COVID-19 pandemic as well as during extreme weather conditions through fan and blanket drives.
