United Way of El Paso County announces the acquisition of the Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10k and 5k from Race El Paso.
The race returns this year, with title sponsor, City of Sunland Park, and starts and finishes at the Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.
This race is perfect for both first-time runners and experienced athletes who want to take on a new challenge or improve their time.
There is also an opportunity for workplace groups to get active and accomplish a common goal through the Workplace Race.

Entry fee includes long-sleeved moisture-wicking race shirt, athlete bag, post-race snacks and drinks, an interactive race day Expo, chip timing, a finisher medal for Half Marathon finishers, and more!

Online registration closes on November 15 at 2:00pm. You may register online or in-person at packet pick-up. No race day registration or packet pick-up.

Race for a Cause is an initiative to help support local nonprofits. This is a peer-to-peer fundraising program through the Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10K & 5K.
Participating nonprofits recruit runners, gain exposure, and fundraise for their organization. Through RunSignUp, runners have the option to raise funds for one of the event's partner nonprofits. This initiative not only supports local nonrpofits but also promotes community engagement and awareness of their vital missions.
Ditch the desk and get active at the Flying Horse Workplace Race, a fitness challenge for organizations of all sizes and participants of all levels! Workplace Race participants also receive a mug to commemorate their participation.

The half marathon course has a time limit of 3 hours and 45 minutes. There are no time limits for the 5k and 10k courses.
Awards will be given to the Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall in each distance category. First through third place will be awarded for males and females in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races for each of the following categories: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Exit I-10 at Sunland Park Drive and turn South. Then take a left onto Futurity Drive (1200 Futurity Drive).
As you leave the race site, please be aware and considerate of participants who may still be running. Your patience is appreciated.
